  1. Symatec C++ 6.11 Compiler quick fix instructions

  3. The files provided here are:

  5. cmpread.1st  - Patch navigator text file (this file).
  6.  
  7. cmpupdat.txt - Compiler Bugs fixed in 6.11
  8.  
  9. cmpupdat.bat - The batch file that will patch your current SC compiler.
  10.                NOTE: Run this batch file from your \SC directory.
  11.  
  12. com611.exe   - Self extracting zip file that contains all that is necessary 
  13.                to make this patch. NOTE: Run this first
  14.  
  15. comp611.rtp  - The file that contains the patch.
  16.  
  17. cmppatch.exe - Utility to patch the files.
  18.  
  19. To patch:
  20. 1. Copy the com611.exe file down to your \SC directory and 
  21.        change directory to \SC.
  22. 2. Type "com611" - this will expand all necessary files.
  23. 3. Type "cmpupdat"  - this will run the batch file that will patch the 
  24.    compiler to version 6.11, and then clean up any unneeded files.
